Biography

Don Harer specializes in driving strategic change to enhance financial performance and create lasting business value for clients. With over 25 years of experience, he has worked across power and renewables, manufacturing, wholesale and distribution, and consumer products, addressing complex challenges through tailored solutions.

A seasoned leader in the restructuring industry, Don has led high-stakes engagements in both advisory and interim management roles. He collaborates with leadership teams to design and execute turnaround plans, optimize operations, restructure balance sheets, streamline costs, and manage liquidity to achieve measurable results.

Prior to his current role, Don was a Managing Director at FTI Consulting, a shareholder and Managing Director of Conway MacKenzie, as well as an Executive Director at Capstone Advisory Group, where he focused on advising lenders on distressed company situations.

A U.S. Army veteran from the Signal and Artillery Corps, Don brings discipline, focus, and a commitment to achieving results in complex and challenging environments. He holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
