Brent brings value to clients whether they are going through organizational or transactional changes, or in need of accounting, internal controls, process improvement, or FP&A advisory. He has served as an interim CAO and Controller for clients within the energy and healthcare industries and has been involved in the implementation of technical accounting standards, most recently ASC 606 – Revenue Recognition and ASC 842 – Leases.
Brent spent over 10 years managing a Houston-based financial reporting advisory group and prior to that, 12 years in the energy trading industry. He has managed mid/back Office and accounting groups for Enron Corp. and American Electric Power in Columbus, Ohio. He began his career as a Sr. Auditor for Arthur Andersen.
Brent has a BBA/MPA in Accounting from The University of Texas and is a member of the University of Texas Accounting Advisory Council and the Texas Society of Public Accountants.
